A webinar is an amazing tool for connecting with your audience. It builds trust, establishes credibility and offers a unique opportunity to turn leads into clients.
When done right, webinars can be a highly effective way to monetize your message.
Being in a predominantly virtual environment (thanks Covid) has significantly increased the amount of webinars being held on a daily basis – which leaves most entrepreneurs asking the question, ‘how do I make my webinar stand out?’
The answer? With one hell of a first impression.
Think about the last webinar or presentation you joined virtually. What happened when you entered that online room? Did someone welcome you? Were you greeted by silence? Was the host scrambling with buttons trying to mute someone’s dog barking in the background?
Within just a few seconds of being part of that event, you most likely made up your mind for how the remainder of the time would go.
Guess what – you’re. not alone. Humans form first impressions within the first 7 seconds of an interaction. When it comes to webinars, those 7 seconds can be critical to landing a potential client.
So, how can you make a great first impression before your webinar even begins?
Answer: A webinar countdown slide.
Using a timer 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your event builds excitement. It shows that you have your technology in good order and sets the tone for a high quality event.
A bonus hack is to add some music to your countdown. Check out one of my favorite webinar playlists to help get my audience fired up before learning something new.
Think of how you would feel joining an event with some feel good music and anticipation. Then, create that experience for your audience.
